Getting Started

If you're curious, that's enough. You don't need to have it all figured out before reaching out. The discovery call is a low-pressure, no-commitment conversation where we explore what you're experiencing and whether this approach resonates with you. Many people find that just having that first conversation brings a sense of relief and direction.
Your first full session (Getting Started) is a deep-dive intake where we explore your health history, current patterns, lifestyle, and goals. From there, I'll design a personalized practice specifically for you — whether that's Ayurvedic lifestyle guidance, a therapeutic yoga practice, or a blend of both. You'll leave with clarity, a sense of being truly seen, and a concrete next step.

The easiest place to start is the complimentary discovery call — it's free, relaxed, and there's no obligation. From there, we'll book your first full session together. You can also browse the Offerings page to explore all available sessions and book directly.

Please don't hesitate to reach out. You can send a message through the Contact page or book a discovery call and ask anything you'd like during our conversation. No question is too small — I want you to feel fully informed and at ease before we begin.

Cancellations & Commitments

I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. This allows me to offer that time to someone else who may be waiting.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice you will be charged for the session.

I understand that life happens — if something unexpected comes up, please reach out as soon as possible and we'll work something out together.

Rescheduling is always welcome with adequate notice. Simply reach out and we'll find a new time that works. I want this practice to feel sustainable and supportive — not stressful. If you're finding it difficult to keep a consistent schedule, let's talk about what might make it easier.

No long-term contract is required. You may choose to begin with a short package to see how the work feels before committing to more. That said, meaningful change in the body and nervous system takes time — most people find that a series of sessions (typically 4–8) gives them a real foundation to build from. We'll discuss what feels right for you during our initial conversation.

If you've purchased a package and feel it isn't the right fit, please reach out directly. I'm committed to your well-being above all else, and I'd rather have an honest conversation than have you feel stuck. Refund and transfer policies will be discussed during your discovery call so there are no surprises.

Package sessions do have an expiration window. This is designed to encourage consistency — which is where the real benefits of this work emerge. Expiration details are clearly outlined at the time of purchase, and I'm always happy to discuss extensions if your circumstances change.

About Therapeutic Yoga

Therapeutic yoga is a one-on-one, evidence-informed practice that uses the tools of yoga — breath, movement, mindfulness, and philosophy — to address specific physical, mental, or emotional needs. Unlike a group yoga class, sessions are entirely personalized to you. We work at your pace, with your goals, and adapt every element to your body's current capacity. There is no performance, no comparison — only a practice that genuinely meets you where you are.

Absolutely not. Our yoga practices are designed for real bodies with real histories — including injuries, chronic conditions, limited mobility, or no prior yoga experience whatsoever. In fact, many clients come to 1-on-1 therapeutic yoga precisely because group classes haven't felt accessible or appropriate for them. We start exactly where you are.

Therapeutic yoga can be a meaningful support for a wide range of concerns, including chronic pain, anxiety, depression, trauma, fatigue, digestive issues, nervous system dysregulation, and the desire for greater body awareness and resilience. Sessions are tailored to your specific situation, so we'll always begin with a thorough conversation about what you're experiencing and what you're hoping to cultivate.

Sessions are available in-home, online, or at Essence Holistic Studio, depending on your preference and location. Each setting is reflected in the pricing tiers so you can choose the option that works best for you. Online sessions are conducted via video and are just as effective — many clients find the comfort of their own home actually deepens their practice.

About Ayurveda

Ayurveda is one of the world's oldest holistic healing systems, originating in India over 5,000 years ago. The word itself means 'the science of life' in Sanskrit. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, Ayurveda looks at the whole person — body, mind, and spirit — and works to restore balance through personalized diet, lifestyle, herbal support, and daily routines. It recognizes that each person has a unique constitution (called a dosha) and that true health is not one-size-fits-all.
In Ayurveda, doshas are the three fundamental energies — Vata, Pitta, and Kapha — that govern all physical and mental processes. Most people have a dominant dosha or a combination of two. Understanding your dosha helps explain why certain foods, seasons, or stressors affect you more than others, and guides the personalized recommendations we develop together. You don't need to know your dosha before we meet — discovering it is part of our initial work together.
No — Ayurveda is a complementary practice, not a replacement for medical care. It works beautifully alongside conventional medicine to support overall well-being, reduce stress, improve digestion, and build resilience. If you are managing a medical condition, I always encourage you to continue working with your healthcare provider. My role is to support your body's natural intelligence and help you feel more at home in your own health.
People come to Ayurveda for many reasons — fatigue, digestive issues, sleep challenges, stress, hormonal imbalances, seasonal transitions, or simply a desire to feel more grounded and well. Ayurveda is especially effective for building sustainable daily rhythms that support your long-term vitality. It's not a quick fix, but a thoughtful, lasting approach to feeling like yourself again.
